He'll also know how to weigh up all this information. He'll know from experience which trainers “talk up” their horses and which ones are too cautious in what they say. He'll be able to balance what one person says against what another person, from another stable says, and the racing tips he offers will be correct on a consistent basis.
By using his contacts, usually based on trust and built up over many years, a good horse racing tipster can dramatically increase your chances of making a consistent profit.
